The swan is that creature that unconsciously accompanies us from our childhood, like a guardian angel. It fills us with hope and comfort and reminds us to be patient. But how? Well, of course, with the story of The Ugly Duckling, that little swan who, precisely because he didn't know he was a swan, raised away from his family, thought he was ugly and impotent until he finally discovered his true identity.
So it was in the fairy tale by the Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen, who made sure to bring the Swan and the Man together to remind us that there is something special in each of us that needs time to mature, manifest and be recognized, finding its place in the world.
